Join us in this joyful endeavour

THE ANGLICAN PLANET has striven to keep subscription rates very low to make TAP widely accessible to a diverse community. We have been able to do this through the generosity of donors who share the vision of TAP.

We need your support! All donations are tax deductible and may be made by phone (902-368-8442), mail (The Anglican Planet Office, 11 All Souls’ Lane, Charlottetown PE, C1A 1P9), or online through the www.CanadaHelps.org page for St. Peter’s Publications (please designate “Anglican Planet Project”).

Why support The Anglican Planet?

• We have gained a national readership that was looking for a fresh view of the Anglican world, both nationally and internationally.

• We cast light on some of the dark or forgotten corners of our church and world.

• We remember the persecuted Church.

• We tackle matters vital to our Communion.

• We promote independent public discourse and respectful debate.

• We call ourselves “Canada’s most read independent journal of Anglican news and ideas.”

• Our coverage includes news and views from both the Anglican Church of Canada and the Anglican Network in Canada as well as other Anglican and Christian entities.

• We provide a sense of community and unity for Anglicans across our vast country as we explore our mutual spiritual and theological life.

• Our voice is vibrant and orthodox and our analysis thought-provoking.

• Our hope is to provide a vision of historically-rooted, biblical Anglicanism that can engage the world today with the Gospel and honour Christ.

You are holding (or looking at) our 120th issue. We began publishing in May 2005. Canadian publications often have a brief life and many thought The Anglican Planet would not survive past a handful of issues. But God has been gracious to us and after 16 years we are still going strong!

TAP is an independent Anglican newspaper and not the official journal of any ecclesiastical body. We have an independent editorial policy.

Our pages have been graced with fine Christian philosophers, theologians, pastors and writers. Here are some of the recent ones:

Edith Humphrey, N.T. Wright, Ross Hebb, Ephraim Radner, Maxine Hancock, Barry Parker, Ranall Ingalls, Don Harvey, Jeff Boldt, James K. A. Smith, Lisa Ray Beal, Tim Perry, Alister McGrath, Julie Lane Gay, Bill Reimer, Amos Winter, John Franklin, Catherine Daniels, Glen Taylor, Catherine Sider Hamilton, Terence Chandra, Morgan Chu, Joey Royal, Tim Haughton, Charlie Masters, Roseanne Kydd, Gary Graber, Brett Cane, Dane Neufeld, Rebecca Osborn, Derek Neal, Ryan Cook, William Anderson, Jane Harris, Matthew Perreault, Colin Nicolle, Gordon Maitland, Kerry Dickson, Jonathan Turtle, Tim Chattaway, Siobhan Laskey, Gerry Laskey, Jolene Nolte, David Smith, Tim Challies, Bryan Haigh, Jason Antonio, Giselle McKnight, David Widdicombe, Jon Vickery, Julie Moser, Will Johnston, Gail Fox, Francis Delaplain, Lucy Netser, David Nguyen-Stone, Annie Ittoshat, Jeremy Graham, Stephen Leung and Mouneer Anis.

As you can gather, we are really proud of the work of this upstart paper over the last 16 years!  We plan to continue for many years to come, God willing. Please join us in this joyful work of encouraging, connecting and strengthening Canadian Anglicans in their faith.   TAP

The Anglican Planet consistently presents news and commentary about the church  in Canada, the wider Anglican Communion, and the world that is fair, honest, and challenging to our too-common complacency about the Gospel: read it and rouse your faith! –The Rev.’d Dr. Ephraim Radner, Author and Professor of Historical Theology at Wycliffe College, Toronto
