Trial date set

The trial involving four Vancouver-area Anglican Network in Canada churches and the Anglican Church of Canada’s Diocese of New Westminster will begin on May 25 in British Columbia Supreme Court. Three weeks have been set aside to hear the case.

Photo by Sue CarelessPro-life demonstrator Linda Gibbons walked out of court a free woman to the hugs of supporters on Jan. 12 after a criminal court judge quashed a charge of disobeying a court order against her. She had been held in prison since her arrest Oct. 8 outside the Scott Clinic in downtown Toronto, which is shielded by a legal bubble zone established as part of a "temporary" court injunction implemented in 1994.

No unified voice in House of Bishops

The House of Bishops no longer speaks with a unified voice. It has produced several ambiguous statements in the past few years but at its latest gathering the statement it issued required twenty drafts.

Who is a bishop?

Anglican Essentials Federation has issued a statement saying its members are “disturbed by recent pronouncements and actions from those within our church concerning relations with those who have left the ACoC [Anglican Church of Canada] and are now aligned with the Anglican Network in Canada (ANiC).”
